Dreams say that I should be one to inspire.
The world asks, why should you become a star.
The abominations circle the mire,
The light I seek is so dim and so far.
All I want is my soul to be redeemed
Of the rot decaying the hope I keep.
Is it wrong to be chasing what I dreamed,
At the cost of those whose hopes I still reap?
Yet I persevere onwards to the dawn
Because what I am is what I’ve become
No matter what, I will continue on,
And embrace the truth of my life’s sum.
I accept who I am and who I’ll be
The future stays a possibility.
