Unleashed is produced by Bedford High School in Bedford, New Hampshire and is published by the Concord Monitor in Concord, New Hampshire. All articles are written and edited by the newspaper staff and journalism class and are published both in print and on the online version of the paper. It is solely up to the newspaper staff to come up with the funding to publish the paper, through advertising and fundraising events, with a starting “club fund” from the school.
The goal of Unleashed is to share stories that inform and entertain the audience. This audience includes, but is not limited to, the student body, the school faculty, the local community and the fans and followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
The paper understands the responsibility to print appropriate material. Should a controversial topic arise, it will require approval from the advisors, but there is a common assumption that nothing deemed to be libelous, excessively obscene, advocating illegal activities, copyrighted or disruptive to the school will be printed. All facts, as well, are checked to be correct, and anything that we find to be an error will be corrected either online or in the following issue.
