Rock music is famous for having a strong backbeat, usually in 4/4 rhythm. It also signified rebellion and  people’s rejection of their parents music, attitudes, and expectations. Rock is typically centered on the electric guitar, usually as part of a rock group with electric bass guitar, drums, and one or more singers.
