BHS DECA Presents: Taste of Bedford

On January 7th, the Bedford High School DECA club will be hosting its third annual Taste of Bedford fundraising event in the BHS Commons (cafeteria) from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The event offers the opportunity to enjoy samples from 10+ local restaurants. Along with these delicious samples, visitors will get to enjoy live music and raffles.

For more information and to buy tickets, go to www.tasteofbedford.org. All proceeds will be going towards BHS DECA students in order to offset competition costs.

Bedford High School DECA would like to graciously thank these restaurants for supporting the aspiring business students of Bedford by donating their delicious samples: Inside Scoop, Caroline’s Fine Food, Hannaford, Matbah’s Meditterainean Cuisine, Sweet Ginger, Taipei and Tokyo, Pizza Bella, Whole Foods, Yiannis, and Carraba’s. BHS DECA would also like to thank Harvest Market, Copper Door, and OMO Specialties for donating raffle items.

This is a wonderful community event where you can socialize with neighbors and have the opportunity to try food from familiar businesses and explore new ones. BHS DECA encourages you to indulge yourself through sampling food from the participating restaurants on January 7th.

About BHS DECA:

DECA is a business club that prepares students for the realistic aspects of the business world that cannot be learned in the classroom. The BHS chapter currently has over 100 members. DECA members compete in competitions ranging from the state to an international level. Last year, DECA is proud to say that they had three students get finalist medals at the international competition, which had over 18,000 students participating worldwide. They would not have been as successful last year if it weren’t for their fundraising, which gives them access to preparation material and cuts down the expensive travel costs that go along with sending the members to competitions.
